Dr. Yimesker Yihun is the Ford Company Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Science from Idaho State University and his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Design from IIT Bombay, India. His research focuses on mechanism synthesis, robot-based rehabilitation, control systems, and human–machine interaction. Dr. Yihun has co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications. He also pursues educational research to enhance instructional methods and self-directed learning, earning the Wallace 2020 Excellence in Teaching Award at Wichita State University.
